Samantha graduated with Honours from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2024. Before that, she completed the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Bow Valley College in 2020, later working as a Kennel Technician while upgrading the courses she needed to continue her education. She successfully passed her VTNE in April 2024 and has been working in the veterinary field since early that year.
Samantha has spent her entire life surrounded by animals, which naturally led her to pursue a career dedicated to helping them. Her deepest passions within veterinary medicine are dentistry and radiology, areas where she finds both challenge and fulfillment. What she loves most about her work is knowing that she can help give animals a chance. She believes deeply that even though animals cannot speak for themselves, they deserve a team that will always act in their best interest, and she is proud to be part of that mission.
At home in Strathmore, Samantha shares her life with two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Dachshund, as well as a Maine Coon mix. She also has a special connection to the pets back home in Texas, where her mother, who is also an RVT, cares for four Dachshunds, a Maltipoo, and a hognose snake. Samantha also holds close the memory of her beloved kitty who recently passed away from CKD.
Outside the clinic, Samantha loves staying active and enjoying the outdoors. You can often find her walking her dogs, quadding, swimming, playing volleyball, rollerblading, painting, golfing, or planning her next travel adventure. Raised in Strathmore, she is grateful to now serve the community that helped shape her.
